These two ingredient yogurt rolls are one of the easiest breads you’ll ever make. With no rising time, no complicated steps, and little kneading, they come together quickly and reliably. The best part? They’re high in protein (between 8-9 grams each!), thanks to Greek yogurt, and so simple that even teens can make them on their own.
There’s no need to add salt since the self-rising flour already contains some, and the yogurt gives the dough an incredible flavor on its own. The result is a soft, golden roll with just the right tang.
If you can’t find self-rising flour at the store, you can make your own by combining 2 cups of all-purpose flour with 3 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. But of course, if you do that, technically this wouldn’t be a “two ingredient” bread recipe anymore, but it would still work beautifully.
Ingredients for the Dough
350 g (~ 2 cups) self-rising flour (I used King Arthur’s Unbleached Self-Rising Flour)
350 g (~ 2 cups) plain Greek yogurt
Optional
15 g (1 tbsp) butter
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp chopped rosemary
